On Saturday, May 6, 2023 #OaklandUndivided held a Citywide Connectivity Press Conference at Bitwise in Oakland to celebrated our progress towards a more equitable Oakland and our commitment towards the goal of connecting 90% of Oakland’s 36,000 unconnected households by 2027. OHA Executive Director Patricia Wells and Deputy Mayor Dr. Kimberly Mayfield announced the deployment of universal, FREE, high-speed Wi-Fi at Oakland’s five largest public housing communities.
